Not to be outdone, Jo Gemmill Owner of the English Rose Tea Room in Carefree, Arizona will host her own celebration in recognition of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Gemmill says “As an ex-pat living in
Arizona for the past 21 years, it has always been important for me to keep a strong connection with my British roots. Over the years we have hosted many Royal celebrations including Royal Weddings and Baby Showers. This Jubilee celebration is so important as it is likely the last time we can honor her Majesty during her lifetime – and this is certainly a lifetime achievement”.

Celebrations at the English Rose Tea Room begin Thursday, June 2nd at 11:00 a.m. with an authentic Town Crier announcing the 70th Jubilee as he rings a handbell throughout Easy Street in Carefree, AZ. The Crier
will continue to act as the Master of Ceremonies throughout the weekend. During the 4-day festival guests will enjoy entertainment from actors portraying great British Icons including James Bond, Sherlock Holmes, Mary Poppins, Harry Potter, David Bowie, John Lennon, Elton John and the Spice Girls. Musical interludes will be performed by Fountain Hills Saxophone Quartet. Jubilee and British Iconic memorabilia will be available for purchase.
